Nicholas Caussin c. 1860 labeled Iofredus Cappa 1640 (French)
N. Caussin worked in Paris and Neufchâteau and labeled his violins “Iofredus Cappa 1640″ in order to make them seem older. This is a gorgeous example with a “French” sound that is eloquent, engaging and evocative.
