The Carpathian Mountains in Romania, where trees grow slowly and are allowed to mature to great size, have been the source of outstanding tone woods since the time of the Cremonese “Golden Age” violin makers. Made of very select wood and finished by hand in the US with antique-style spirit varnish the attention to detail is reflected in the tonal qualities.
