Rudoulf Sebastian instruments are made in the time-honored tradition by a collaboration of family craftsmen in the small town of Erlangen, Germany. Necks, scrolls, ribs, tops and backs are each carved by specialists in their home workshops and are assembled by a main workshop. They are then shipped to the US where experts adjust them for optimal tonal response and playability. Then they are hand varnished in an antique style to produce a warm noble Old World appearance.
